“Rainbows apologise for angry skies”
Rainbows are one of those lovely things that remind us that despite the rain – something special is just waiting to be discovered.
So I headed home for breakfast (it was still very early and I was very hungry). One could be forgiven for being a bit grumpy. I also knew I had enough time to do that AND take Squirt to school. She wanted me to take her – had climbed out early to ask – only to find out I couldn’t. Suffice to say – popping home made her morning.
What does this have to do with rainbows you ask?
When we walked out our front door – there she was – a pretty rainbow. Reminding me to stop and see the beauty – not to be so caught up in a mistake and certainly not to let that one thing ruin my day.
So, today I have been thinking of this rainbow and how it just appeared as we walked out – it wasn’t there when I pulled into home 15 mins earlier but it was there to smooth the ruffled feathers of the messed up morning. It worked a treat.
Somedays you just need to be reminded of why the world we live in is so gorgeous – and I would love you the reader to share in this special slice of paradise.
SO, just because I love rainbows and you deserve a pick me up just as much as the next person – here is some candy for you eyes and some soothing for your soul!!
These pics were taken in Devonport. We had gone there to get out of the house and to blow the cobwebs away, earlier last term.
Devonport is a lovely suburb in the North Shore of Auckland. Its old, its historical and its stunning. On this day = it was showing off rainbows.
Its somewhere we like to go to just hang out, have a good coffee or a meal in one of its many fine eating establishments, or just to look at the city from the Ferry Terminal. More about that and why its such a cool place another day. Today lets just celebrate the beauty of a rainbow.
Have a great day and may your rainbows be strong and vibrant!!!
